What is a Who's Who Entry .... ?

The Asian Who's Who has been published since 1975, and is an annual publication of short, concise biographies, of selected individiuals whose origins are from the south asian subcontinent.

Currently the Asian Whos Who contains approximately 3,000 entries and is the leading source of up to date information on people from all works of life. It is seen as one of the most recognised and respected works of reference for contributions made by people whos origins are from the asian subcontinent.

Subjects are from all walks of life, who have made a positive contribution to society, and include peers, MPs, judges, senior civil servants, writers, actors, lawyers, artists - as well as those that have been committed to voluntary or charity work.

Inclusion in the Asian Who's Who, unlike many other publications has never involved any payment by the subject or even any obligation to buy a copy. Inclusion has always been by prominence in public life or professional achievement. Hence, inclusion has come to carry a considerable level of prestige.

The publication has proved over the years to be an invaluable source of information for anyone concerned with south Asian culture, and the contirbutions made by its people including businesses, journalists, and the media.

How are people chosen for inclusion ?

“Who Gets in the Asian Who’s Who?” : … The Publisher is bringing out in the autumn the first ever Who’s Who of Asians living in this country … the book will be a good buy … The contributions under social and business achievements provide an insight into the values of the community.” - The Sunday Telegraph, 1975

An invitation to appear in the Asian Whos Who recognises distinction and influence. The editorial team is responsible for amending entries throughout the year, and following up on recommendations for inclusion. Since the first edition, the contribution of the South Asian community has significantly increased as can be seen by the wider spectrum of professions and contributions from the biographees in the current publication.

“It just reflects the enormous success of the Asian business community in Britain during the last decade,” - The Daily Mail

You can also nominate somoneone for inclusion which will be looked at by the editorial team, or if you have been recommended, you can complete an entry form online.
